Lt. George Little began his Law Enforcement career in June of 1996 and is a 23-year veteran of the Thomaston Police Department.  He has had experience in various areas of law enforcement throughout his career.  Lt. Little started his career as a patrolman and worked his way through the ranks and was promoted to Corporal then later to the rank of Sergeant where he served seventeen years in that position as a shift supervisor in the Patrol Division.  Lt. Little was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division in July of 2017 where he oversees the day to day activities of the division.  He is also currently the evidence custodian for the police department.  Lt. Little has completed supervision training, and is a graduate of (PMP) Professional Management Program through Columbus State University. Lt. Little is a P.O.S.T. certified Field Training Officer, Radar, Lidar operator, and Intoxilyzer 5000 and 9000 operator.  He has also completed training in (CIT) Crisis Intervention Techniques, crime scene processing, criminal procedures and over 2000 hours of other Law Enforcement training throughout his 23-year career with the Thomaston Police Department.
