Park Playgrounds Re-Open 6-12-20

PRESS RELEASE


The City of Thomaston Parks will re-open playgrounds on June 12th.  The following remain closed:

  • The pine thicket at the Greatest Generation Memorial Park, due to construction
  •  (the City is constructing new walking paths)
  • The splash pad at the Greatest Generation Memorial Park (will be opening soon)

Stay safe by following these CDC Guidelines:

  • Stay home if you are sick or do not feel well
  • Use social distancing and maintain at least six feet between individuals in all areas of the park
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, and throw the tissue in the trash
  • Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • Use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Visitors are encouraged to wear a mask

All Citizens are encouraged to practice social distancing and use common courtesy.  You must follow the CDC guidelines.  If CDC guidelines are not adhered to, or if issues arise that could potentially threaten public health, access to parks will be suspended.
