The City of Thomaston Animal Control Office is committed to protecting the well-being of all people and animals in our community through enforcement of city ordinances.

Animal Control officers respond to calls from citizens, investigates reports of animal cruelty, interprets city ordinances, issues citations and subpoenas, and impounds stray animals.

City of Thomaston Animal Control Officers operate in accordance with the rules and regulations of Chapter 14 of the City of Thomaston Ordinances and to the Rules of the Georgia Department of Agriculture, OCGA 40-13-13.

Animal Control Officers work closely with the Police Department, Building Department, and Rescue groups for the good of the animals in question.
